Getting Started

This guide is heavily based off of Dortania's Guide just with an added twist for unsupported devices.

Hardware Compatibility

  • This guide generally is focused towards Celeron CPU's but Pentiums should work as well

  • Some things still will not work, such as gpu acceleration and touchpad, I am not magic

Downloading the installer

  • You will need OpenCorePkg for this next part (Try using the debug build first if your new)

    • Open a terminal in OpenCore/Utilites/macrecovery

    From here you will run one of the following depending on what version of macOS you would like to use:

    This guide only covers 10.15+, support for below is unknown but should reflect what dortania's guide says

    This will generate a folder called com.apple.recovery.boot, copy this to your usb (the usb should be formatted to fat32)

    After copying apple recovery to the usb you should also copy OpenCore/X64/EFI to your usb, deleting everything in EFI/OC/Tools and everything inside EFI/OC/Drivers excluding OpenRuntime.efi
